Peskov reveals details of preparations for Putin-Trump-Xi meeting at APEC summit

The Kremlin spokesman noted that Beijing had the leading role in preparing the meeting

MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. An exchange of signals confirming readiness to hold a trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump, and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the APEC summit in Shenzhen is underway, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Vesti correspondent Pavel Zarubin.

"There is a certain exchange of signals confirming readiness to hold such a meeting. There is also an exchange of views through diplomatic channels on what could be on the agenda," Peskov explained when asked what preparations for a trilateral meeting between Putin, Trump, and Xi on the sidelines of the APEC summit entail.

The Kremlin spokesman also clarified that China is, after all, the host country, meaning that Beijing has the leading role in preparing the meeting.
