Dmitry Peskov also stressed that Moscow "is ready to make every effort to prevent a military scenario in the Persian Gulf region"

DOHA, October 29. /TASS/. Iran is consistently raised in contacts between Russia and the United States, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Qatar’s Al Jazeera television channel.

"The Iran issue is always part of our exchanges of views during contacts with the US side," the television channel quoted Peskov as saying in Arabic.

The Kremlin spokesman also stressed that Moscow "is ready to make every effort to prevent a military scenario in the Persian Gulf region." Russia is also prepared to mediate between Tehran and Washington if it receives such a request, he said.
