Russia says determined to continue working with Brazil to strengthen partnership

At the same time, the results achieved during the Russian, Brazilian, and Indian BRICS presidencies over the past three years will be taken into account, Maria Zakharova noted

MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Moscow is determined to keep working with Brazil to strengthen its strategic partnership based on continuity, including the results achieved during the Russian, Brazilian and Indian BRICS presidencies over the past three years, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"The results of the expression of the will of the Brazilian people indicate their support for the course of the current head of state to implement effective socio-economic policy within the country, as well as to actively promote Brazil's interests on the world stage," she told a news briefing.

"Our views on BRICS as a key tool for shaping a more equitable multipolar world order largely coincide with our Brazilian partners, and representatives of our countries regularly speak about this during the negotiations and meetings. We are determined to continue working together to strengthen the strategic partnership based on continuity, including the results achieved during the Russian, Brazilian and Indian BRICS presidencies in the period of 2024-2026. And, of course, we wish President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva success in his responsible post, including in order to ensure national unity and sustainable socio-economic development of his country, Brazil," Zakharova said.
