Russian air defenses destroy seven Ukrainian UAVs in airspace over Leningrad Region

Two people were hospitalized without life-threatening injuries

ST. PETERSBURG, April 3. /TASS/. Air defense forces shot down seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the airspace over the Leningrad Region on Friday morning, two people sustained wounds and were rushed to hospitals, Governor Alexander Drozdenko said.

"Seven enemy UAVs have been intercepted so far," the governor stated on his Max social network account.

"According to unconfirmed data, the debris [caused by intercepted UAVs] fell in Vsevolozhsk district [of the Leningrad Region]… Two people were hospitalized without life-threatening injuries," he added.

The governor reported earlier that four Ukrainian UAVs were intercepted in the airspace over the Leningrad Region in the early hours of Friday.
