Russia, UAE, Saudi Arabia continue expanding cooperation — Kremlin spokesman

"That is why we need to observe a kind of discreetness", Dmitry Peskov said

MOSCOW, December 10. /TASS/. /TASS/. Russia’s relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia continue developing, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visits to these countries.

"These contacts demonstrated that we have wide prospects and all the sides have political will for the further development of relations. So, we have a lot of work to do," he said in an interview with the Moscow.Kremlin.Putin program of the Rossiya-1 television channel.

Commenting on Putin’s talks with the UAE President and the Saudi Crown Prince behind closed doors, Peskov said, "Given the mutual interest, economic cooperation now cannot be completely open because there are a lot of ill-wishers and a lot of countries who want too exert pressure on us and our partners."

"That is why we need to observe a kind of discreetness and, probably, this is a guarantee that we will continue expand our cooperation," Peskov stressed.
