Kiev regime unable to defeat Russia, says diplomat

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya pointed out that "the current Kiev regime is some Western countries’ pet project that has been implemented since 2014"

UNITED NATIONS, February 8. /TASS/. The Kiev regime cannot defeat Russia on their own, and this is obvious to everyone, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said on Wednesday at a UN Security Council session requested by Russia.

"It is not even about the Russophobic politicians’ new calls to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, which, as we all understand, Ukraine is incapable of doing on its own," he said.

Nebenzya pointed out that "the current Kiev regime is some Western countries’ pet project that has been implemented since 2014, to say the least, for certain geopolitical purposes, which are to weaken and undermine Russia."

"Dear colleagues, I’m omitting the moral side of this story. We know that, regrettably, the countries of the collective Western have long lost their morality and conscience," he concluded.

Last week, Russia’s Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s regime would have fallen instantly if "the strings" of Western support had been cut off. The diplomat added that Moscow should have no illusions about Washington’s policy for the foreseeable future, because both political parties in America had reached a bipartisan consensus in their determination to "inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.".
