Ukrainian army seeks to step up offensive towards Svatovo — LPR militia officer

According to Andrey Marochko, Ukrainian troops have been unable to achieve their goal and "returned to their previous positions" after suffering huge losses

LUGANSK, November 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to step up their offensive towards the city of Svatovo in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and break through Russian defenses from three directions at once, LPR People’s Militia officer Andrey Marochko told TASS on Tuesday, citing intelligence.

"The Ukrainian armed units are trying to step up their offensive towards Svatovo. Several of the enemy’s company-tactical groups are trying to break through our defense lines from three directions at once, that is, from the north, the west and the south of the city," he pointed out.

According to Marochko, Ukrainian troops have been unable to achieve their goal and "returned to their previous positions" after suffering huge losses.

Commander of the Akhmat special operations unit and Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army Corps of LPR People’s Militia Apty Alaudinov told TASS on November 26 that Ukrainian troops stationed near Svatovo and Kremennaya consisted mostly of foreign mercenaries.
