Magnitude 4.9 earthquake rocks eastern Turkey

ANKARA, April 27. /TASS/. A magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit eastern Turkey, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

According to the EMSC, the epicenter was located 44 kilometers southwest of the Elazig Province with a population of 298,000.

No casualties or damage were reported.
