No ban on Russian coal supplies to Ukraine — official

Earlier Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Minister said that according to information he received from Ukrainian companies DTEK and Centrenergo, Russia has halted coal export to Ukraine

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. There have been no bans on Russian coal exports to Ukraine, Russian Railways CEO Vladimir Yakunin told reporters Wednesday.

“According to my data, only now 12 train sets with coal should be heading to Ukraine. This direction is packed, in fact, due to infrastructural restrictions, but it applies not only to Ukraine,” Yakunin said.

On Monday, Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yury Prodan said that according to information he received from Ukrainian companies DTEK and Centrenergo, Russian companies have halted coal export to Ukraine from November 21.
