Russia to export 510,000 tons of diesel in October, 2.15 mln tons in November — Novak

When asked about plans for early next year, the deputy prime minister noted that they would depend on the situation

MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Russia plans to export 510,000 tons of diesel fuel in October, with shipments potentially rising to 2.15 million tons in November, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.

"We anticipate that this volume will be approximately 2,150,000 tons in November. So, while we had 510,000 tons for October, we are planning for more in November," Novak said.

When asked about plans for early next year, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that they would depend on the situation.

Earlier, Novak had cited lower volumes. On October 9, he told TASS that Russia was beginning to lift its diesel export ban ahead of schedule, stating that Moscow was prepared to supply 300,000 tons of diesel in October, 500,000 tons in November, and 1 million tons in December, with plans to eventually raise this volume to 3 million tons per month.

Later, he noted that Russian companies could export 500,000 tons of diesel in both October and November.

On October 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation, discussing, among other topics, the supply of petroleum products. Putin stated that Moscow had confirmed its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the US and global markets. Trump, for his part, praised the agreement with Russia regarding diesel fuel supplies.
