SHANGHAI, March 6. /TASS/. Russia and China have demonstrated the ability to complement each other in trade amid sanctions and the conflict in Ukraine, head of the representative office of the Russia-China Business Center Lin Yuxuan told TASS.
"Following the start of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, we determined that the structure of the trade turnover between China and Russia makes it possible to complement each other. I believe it is very clearly seen at present," she said, adding that it is manifested in particular in the turbid growth of the turnover.
The energy sector and the agriculture are key elements of such complementarity, the expert noted. "However, we cannot rest on these two areas only," Lin Yuxuan said. More attention should be paid to the scientific and technical sphere in Russia and the production potential in bilateral relations should be used to a greater degree in Russia, she added.
At the same time, payments and lack of trust between individual companies remain the most sensitive issues in trade between the two countries, Lin Yuxuan said.
