MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. The movement of cars and buses on the Crimean Bridge has been resumed after repair work, the Russian Transport Ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Thursday.
"Today at 8 a.m. (Moscow time), ahead of schedule, the movement of cars and buses on the Crimean Bridge, which was previously suspended for repair and restoration activities, was resumed," the statement reads.
Earlier, the Transport Ministry said that vehicle traffic on the approaches to the Crimean bridge would be temporarily restricted at the Crimean bridge at 11 p.m. Moscow time on January 25, with the road part of the bridge to be fully closed for repair work from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. on January 26.
A truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge on October 8, 2022, causing several fuel tanks of a train to catch fire. Two spans of the bridge’s roadway toward the peninsula collapsed. On December 5, 2022, motor vehicle traffic on the right part of the bridge’s highway section was resumed. Repair activities are currently underway to reconstruct the left side of the bridge’s highway section.
