Shares of Norilsk Nickel decline on Moscow Exchange

Nornickel is the world's largest producer of nickel and palladium and the world's leading producer of platinum, cobalt, copper and rhodium

MOSCOW, February 5. / TASS /. Shares of Norilsk Nickel went down by 1% in the course of trading on the Moscow Exchange and reached the level of 25,464 rubles per paper, according to the data of the trading platform on Friday.

As of 13:05 Moscow time, the company's shares accelerated their decline and traded at 25,302 rubles per share, which is 1.8% below the level of closing of previous trades. Securities of Norilsk Nickel are declining on the news of the court's decision to recover 146 bln ruble ($1.9 bln) from the company's subsidiary.

Nornickel is the world's largest producer of nickel and palladium and the world's leading producer of platinum, cobalt, copper and rhodium. The company also produces gold, silver, iridium, selenium, ruthenium and tellurium. The production units of the Norilsk Nickel group of companies are located in Russia in the Norilsk industrial region, on the Kola Peninsula and in the Trans-Baikal Territory, as well as in Finland and South Africa.
