Trump’s plan for Ukraine not yet ready — source

Munich Security Conference Chairman Christoph Heusgen said earlier that his wish was that the forum would outline a plan for settling the conflict in Ukraine

ROME, February 10. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump’s plan for the Ukrainian settlement is not yet ready and will not be presented this week either at a ministerial meeting in Brussels or at the Munich Security Conference, the ANSA news agency reported, citing its sources in Brussels.

The agency recalled that new Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth will for the first time attend a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels later this week, while Vice President JD Vance will lead a delegation to the Munich Security Conference. US Special Envoy for Russia and Ukraine Keith Kellogg, according to the source, is expected to visit the NATO headquarters "not earlier than the second half of February and will hold meetings when the plan is ready."

Munich Security Conference Chairman Christoph Heusgen said earlier that his wish was that the forum would outline a plan for settling the conflict in Ukraine.

Trump said earlier that he hoped an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine would be reached in the foreseeable future. The Western media has speculated that the Ukrainian settlement may be reached by Putin and Trump bilaterally, with Kiev formally participating and Europe out of the loop.

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on February 7 that there had been no substantive proposals on this matter from the United States, but only various statements that are later refuted.
