Putin’s upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia shows that US failed to isolate him — Bloomberg

NEW YORK, December 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia illustrates that Washington’s efforts to isolate Moscow have failed, the Bloomberg news agency wrote.

According to the report, the visit "signals Putin’s growing confidence to travel outside Russia despite US and European efforts to isolate him on the global stage." The Russian economy is "on a surer footing," while Ukraine sees no military successes despite Washington’s support, the agency said.

Putin will visit two Middle Eastern countries - the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia - for bilateral talks on Wednesday, the Kremlin press service reported earlier. He will meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud and President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Putin has not visited Middle Eastern countries since the start of the pandemic. His latest visit - also to the UAE and Saudi Arabia - took place in 2019. However, Putin maintains regular contacts with Arab leaders on the sidelines of other international events.
