BEIJING, April 14. /TASS/. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva placed a wreath on Friday on the Monument to People’s Heroes on Tiananmen Square in downtown Beijing, CCTV reported.

According to the Chinese state broadcaster, the ceremony was held at noon. It gave no further details.

Lula da Silva is currently in China on a state visit. He has already visited the headquarters of the New Development Bank, a BRICS bank, in Shanghai. The Brazilian president is planning to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing.
