MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s space corporation Roscosmos, praised the relations with NASA as "great" in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station.
"I am a fierce proponent of international cooperation, including with Americans, because their country is big and technologically advanced, and they can make good partners. Especially since personal and professional relations between Roscosmos and NASA at the working level are great," he said on Tuesday.
The Roscosmos chief added that people "who professionally engage in space activities are perfectly aware that they need each other."
Prior to the Soyuz MS-12 manned spacecraft launch on march 14, Rogozin met with NASA Associate Administrator for Human Exploration and Operations William H. Gerstenmaier to discuss further cooperation in space between the two nations, including the future of the International Space Station (ISS).
Later, Rogozin said that Russia and US would continue cooperation in missions to the ISS. NASA astronauts and Roscosmos cosmonauts will use both Russian and US spacecraft for journey to the ISS, he said.
