MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. As many as 100,000 European Union (EU) citizens will receive Russian visas in 2023, up from about 60,000 in 2022, Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov told a plenary session of the State Duma (the lower house of the Russian legislative assembly).
"In 2022, about 60,000 citizens of the EU received a Russian visa and entered. According to statistics, we expect about 100,000 EU citizens by the end of this year," he said.
Ivanov also added that these figures are still much less than what was seen in 2019, due in part to logistical difficulties.
