MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Russia slightly increased natural gas supplies to China over the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its report.
"Russia’s gas exports to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline system are understood to have marginally increased compared with last year’s levels," the IEA said.
Total pipe gas imports by China will remain flat in annual terms but deliveries from Central Asia will decline due to disruptions in transportation from Uzbekistan, the agency said.
"These lower deliveries would be more than offset by stronger pipeline supplies from Russia. The Far East pipeline is expected to start operations in January 2027 with a capacity of 10 bcm/yr, although actual pipeline flows would ramp up gradually through the pipeline system," the IEA stressed.
Russian gas holding Gazprom said earlier that it updated the record of daily gas supplies to China over the Power of Siberia gas pipeline on November 1.
