KAZAN, October 16. /TASS/. Indian Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar described IT, finance and cybersecurity as promising fields of cooperation with Tatarstan at an opening ceremony for the business forum titled, "TIME: Russia - India. Mutual Efficiency," in Kazan.
"Tatarstan is one of the fastest developing Russian regions, and it offers huge opportunities in the development of trade, business, investment and industries. And India is the world’s fastest growing economy. <...> We have numerous opportunities for various startups, such as IT, finance, cybersecurity and various technical and engineering skills. Interested students can visit and explore India, find friends and forge their future business contacts there using the ITEC program," Kumar said.
India has the world’s largest pool of talent and offers a mobility of skills to Russian youths, industries and businesses, the diplomat noted. "Our regions, our countries are mutually supportive, therefore we can complement our interests for the sake of progress and future cooperation," he emphasized.
At the first such forum last year, Kumar recalled, 19 business agreements were signed. "I am adamant that even more agreements and memorandums will be signed between our regions this year. There will be not only business but also cultural cooperation – more films, more cultural programs, and tourism will develop too," the ambassador concluded.
