MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Port Alliance increased its total volume of export cargo handling by 13% in the first eight months of 2026 to 29.2 mln tons, the stevedoring company reported. China, India, and Turkey accounted for two-thirds of the holding’s total export shipments.
"Port Alliance Group increased its total volume of export cargo handling by 13% in the first eight months of 2026 year-on-year to 29.24 mln tons. The pool of key markets in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East was the primary focus of the group’s shipments, with three countries - China, India, and Turkey - accounting for two-thirds of the holding’s total exports," the report said.
China was the absolute leader in terms of trade volume in the thermal coal sector with 10.8 mln tons of cargo, which is equivalent to 37% of the holding’s total exports, the company said. Ports shipped 5.6 mln tons to India, or 19% of the total volume. Shipments to Turkey reached 3.03 mln tons, accounting for 10% of the total cargo flow. South Korea was the fourth-biggest purchaser, which received 1.8 mln tons of coal.
Buyers from Brazil led the mineral fertilizer segment, having received 1.7 mln tons in the reporting period. Large shipments were also sent to Indonesia, India, and a number of African nations.
"The presence of the group’s terminals in all key basins of the country enables us to respond promptly to the needs of domestic producers and ensure uninterrupted supplies of products to foreign markets regardless of external factors," Port Alliance’s chief operating officer Sergey Galkin was quoted as saying. Figures from the past eight months show that the company’s port infrastructure is operating normally and providing reliable service for Russian export flows, he added.
Port Alliance manages seaports and terminals in the Far Eastern, Northwestern, and Azov-Black Sea basins. The total capacity of the assets managed by the holding exceeds 80 mln tons of cargo per year. The group ensures the export of mineral fertilizers and thermal coal.
