Russia’s Kaluga Region resumes supplies of auto chemicals to Southeast Asia

According to the source, Sintec Group is the only company that represents the region in terms of car chemicals and auto care products

KALUGA, March 6. /TASS/. The first batch of car chemicals and auto care products has been sent from Russia’s Kaluga Region to Indonesia and Cambodia after exports were suspended in 2021 due to anti-Russia sanctions, a source in the press service of the region’s business development agency told TASS.

"In 2024, the authorities of the Kaluga Region plan to develop new export areas. Those are the CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle East. Sintec Group has started supplies to Indonesia and Cambodia. The company is the only one that represents the region in terms of car chemicals and auto care products," the source said.

In 2021, exports to Asian countries were suspended due to sanctions, the agency added. "The region managed to restore supply chains by providing high-quality products made in Russia to the markets of foreign partners," the press service noted.

A source in the press service of Sintec Group told TASS that the company would almost double supplies of export products through entering the markets of Indonesia and Cambodia. All in all, the plan is to deliver more than 500,000 tons of goods to Southeast Asian countries in 2024, including around 300 tons to China.
