Kiev should beg Moscow for peace to save Ukraine — former Zelensky spokesperson

Yulia Mendel said this is now a matter of the country’s "survival"

MOSCOW, August 21. /TASS/. Ukraine should beg Russia for peace to save the country, former Vladimir Zelensky spokeswoman Yulia Mendel said.

She pointed to the current situation in Ukraine, noting the closure of Black Sea ports and soaring fuel prices. "Ukraine needs to beg for peace," Mendel wrote on her X page.

In her view, this is now a matter of the country’s "survival." "The longer this goes on, the more the country collapses under the weight of Zelensky's stubbornness," Mendel stressed.

Zelensky’s former press secretary previously spoke out about ending the conflict following an incident involving the forced mobilization of a Kiev resident with his dog.
