BELGRADE, November 22. /TASS/. The Biden administration’s decision to allow the use of American missiles for strikes deep inside Russia is a deliberate move aimed at preventing future US President Donald Trump from resolving the Ukrainian conflict, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin said.
"The outgoing [US presidential] administration has made perhaps the most significant decision in the last 100 years, putting us on the brink of nuclear war. This decision was made systematically and deliberately, because once the conflict escalates, there will be no going back. They want to prevent what Trump has promised—to end the war in Ukraine," Vulin was quoted as saying by Radio and Television of Republika Srpska.
"The question of when World War III will begin is no longer relevant—it began long ago. First with the reunification of Germany and the fall of the Berlin Wall, then with the revision of World War II’s results, the war in Yugoslavia, and now Ukraine. The only question left is whether it will escalate into a nuclear conflict," the Serbian deputy prime minister added.
On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the US and its NATO allies had announced their approval of the use of long-range precision weapons. Following this announcement, Russian military sites in the Kursk and Bryansk regions were attacked with American and British missiles. In response, Russia used its newest medium-range ballistic missile, the Oreshnik, in a non-nuclear strike targeting Ukraine’s Yuzhmash defense plant in Dnepropetrovsk.
Putin emphasized that the West’s provocative policies could lead to severe consequences if the conflict continues to escalate.
