VIENNA, November 15. /TASS/. Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), deployed at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), regularly hear sounds of explosions nearby, but saw no damage at the facility, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said.
"The IAEA team has continued to hear explosions daily, although no damage to the plant was reported," Grossi said in a statement, posted on the agency’s website.
The IAEA also said it was aware of a media report that a resident in the nearby town of Enerhodar, where most plant staff live, was killed in a military strike. The organization does not have information on whether this individual was a ZNPP staff member or not.
On Friday, Russia’s Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of massive Ukrainian attacks on the city of Energodar, which hosts the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev said.
