CEO says Roscosmos in talks with several countries to fly their representatives to space

Yury Borisov pointed out that the negotiations were at different stages

MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Several countries are negotiating with Russia to send their representatives into space, Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov told TASS in an interview.

"Negotiations are underway with representatives of several foreign countries on the possibility of organizing manned space missions for them," Borisov said.

The Roscosmos CEO pointed out that the negotiations were at different stages. "You will learn later about the results of the agreements we've reached and the contracts we've signed," Borisov added, without specifying which countries were negotiating with Russia on the issue.

For instance, a Belarusian female cosmonaut is scheduled to fly to space in the spring of 2024. In 2022, six candidates for a flight to the ISS were selected by the Belarusian side. By now, the main and backup candidates have been selected. Their direct preparation for the flight will begin in Russia on the dates agreed with Roscosmos.
