Medvedev calls defeat of neo-fascism Russia’s main goal for 2024

The Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman also thanked the fighters of the special military operation who defend the Homeland

MOSCOW, December 31. /TASS/. The main goal that Russia will face in the upcoming year is to achieve the final defeat of fascism, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev announced.

"Right now, the people of Russia have one most important goal - to make the upcoming year 2024 the year of final defeat of neo-fascism, which enemies of Russia try to restore despite the great victory of our fathers and grandfathers," he said in his New Year’s address, published on his Telegram channel.

Medvedev thanked fighters of the special military operation, who protect their homeland. According to the official, thoughts and hearts of the Russians are with "those who stay at the frontline with their brothers in arms."

"The stable and sustainable development of Russia is in our hands, as well as the welfare of its future generations. We are responsible for the fate of our Homeland, great, strong and prosperous. We will preserve and continue the glorious traditions of our history. We will move forward. We will work selflessly for the betterment of Russia. And to win for it. I sincerely wish you good health, success, accord and warmth. I wish you happy New Year and may everything be well," he concluded.
