BANGALORE /India/, February 13. /TASS/. Moscow’s special military operation has boosted foreign interest in Russian weapons and military equipment, Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev told TASS ahead of the Aero India 2023 exhibition.
"The special military operation provided foreign experts with an opportunity to see Russian military products in use in actual combat conditions, convincing them of their high technical performance and reliability, which increased our partners’ interest in Russian weapons and military equipment," he pointed out.
According to Shugayev, there is great potential for future cooperation between Russia and Asian countries. "The military products that Russia supplies to its Asian partners are highly reliable and durable when used in tropical climates, which is why they earned their good reputation," the official added.
This is what makes it possible for Russia to look with confidence into the future of defense cooperation with its partners, Shugayev noted.
The 14th Aero India biennial air show will run in Bangalore on February 13-17. Russia, an active participant in Indian air shows, plans to showcase about 200 types of weapons and military equipment at this year’s event.
