MOSCOW, May 16. /TASS/. The new Russian Sarmat missile system has no analogues in the world, guarantees penetration of all missile defense systems, and does not need advertising, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told journalists.

"There are no similar strategic-range systems in existence today with anyone else. This system allows guaranteed penetration of both existing and any missile defense systems still in the development phase," he said. According to him, the defense ministry's launch footage "speaks for itself."

Ryabkov also said the Sarmat parameters are a case where "size matters," expressing that he was personally impressed by the gas generator's diameter. He noted Russia warned other countries about the tests, as Moscow is driven by the understanding that "we should not shake strategic stability."

Earlier, Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Sergey Karakayev reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the successful launch of the Sarmat. The Russian Armed Forces plan to deploy the first regiment equipped with this ICBM by the end of the year.

Putin noted that the Sarmat is the most powerful missile system in the world -- four times more powerful than the most capable Western counterparts. Its range exceeds 35,000 km. The missile can follow not only a ballistic but also a suborbital trajectory, penetrating all existing and prospective missile defense systems.
