PREVIEW: Duma speaker to chair CSTO Parliamentary Assembly meeting in Moscow

Lawmakers will discuss harmonizing the legislations of the CSTO member countries in IT and fighting security challenges and threats in the organization’s zone of responsibility

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, who heads the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), will chair a meeting of the statutory body and its 17th plenary session in Moscow on Monday.

Earlier, the lower chamber of Russia’s parliament said on its website that delegations from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have arrived in the Russian capital.

Lawmakers will discuss harmonizing the legislations of the CSTO member countries in IT and fighting security challenges and threats in the organization’s zone of responsibility. Drafting an address to global legislators ahead of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War is also on the agenda.
