MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russian forces struck Ukrainian military airfields and an UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) assembly workshop over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.
"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck power facilities supporting the operation of Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, infrastructure of military airfields, an assembly workshop of fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles and amassed enemy manpower and military equipment in 147 areas," the ministry said in a statement.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 65 casualties on Ukrainian troops in its area of responsibility in the Kharkov Region over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kharkov direction, Battlegroup North units inflicted losses on formations of a territorial defense brigade and a border guard detachment of Ukraine’s Border Guard Service near the settlements of Veterinarnoye and Volchansk in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 65 personnel and two motor vehicles, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted roughly 560 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed a German-made Leopard tank in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup West units gained more advantageous positions and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of an armored brigade, three mechanized brigades, a jaeger brigade and an airborne brigade of the Ukrainian army, a territorial defense brigade and a National Guard brigade near the settlements of Dvurechnaya, Kupyansk, Bugayevka and Lozovaya in the Kharkov Region, Nadiya in the Lugansk People’s Republic and in the area of the Serebryanka forestry. They repulsed six counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 560 personnel, a German-made Leopard tank, two armored combat vehicles, eight motor vehicles, two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, two US-manufactured 155mm M198 howitzers and a British-made 105mm L119 artillery gun, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed two Zakhist-AF electronic warfare stations, a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counterbattery radar station and three ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

"Battlegroup South units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on formations of three mechanized brigades, an airmobile brigade and an air assault brigade of the Ukrainian army near the settlements of Kurakhovo, Uspenovka, Ulakly, Ostrovskoye and Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled two counterattacks by enemy assault units," the ministry said.

"Battlegroup Center units continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an assault brigade and an assault battalion of the Ukrainian army and two marine infantry brigades in areas near the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Dimitrov, Shevchenko and Novotroitskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled nine counterattacks by Ukrainian armed formations," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 515 personnel, a tank, a US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, two US-manufactured M113 armored personnel carriers, four armored combat vehicles, among them two Turkish-made Kirpi armored vehicles, four motor vehicles, a 122mm Gvozdika motorized artillery system, a 152mm D-20 howitzer and a 100mm Rapira anti-tank gun, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 210 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two German-made Leopard tanks in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup East units improved their frontline positions and inflicted losses on formations of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army and three territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Razliv, Komar, Dneproenergiya and Novosyolka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye Region. They repelled eight counterattacks by enemy assault groups," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 210 personnel, two German-made Leopard tanks, an armored personnel carrier, a US-made MaxxPro armored fighting vehicle, two motor vehicles and a French-made 155mm Caesar self-propelled artillery system, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 45 casualties on Ukrainian troops in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Novodanilovka, Novoandreyevka and Shcherbaki in the Zaporozhye Region and the city of Kherson," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost as many as 45 personnel and two motor vehicles in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it said.
Russian air defenses destroy 101 Ukrainian UAVs over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down 101 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down two rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 101 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 649 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 37,284 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 surface-to-air missile systems, 19,630 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,497 multiple rocket launchers, 19,032 field artillery guns and mortars and 29,003 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
