MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. Vasily Agarkov, director of the Stirol chemical plant in Gorlovka, on Thursday said he saw no risk of an environmental disaster following a strike on the plant by Ukrainian forces.
"There has been no emission of harmful substances. Similarly, an environmental catastrophe is impossible, as the hits were limited, hitting the electric transformer," he said on Rossiya-24 television.
The director said the plant suspended operation. According to him, the plant was hit by two rockets from an Uragan multiple launch rocket system, which were tipped with cluster warheads, and about forty clusters have been scattered.
