MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces repelled three Ukrainian counterattacks in the Kursk Region over the past 24 hours, the Defense Ministry reported.
"The battlegroup North defeated 16 Ukrainian brigades near Gogolevka, Goncharovka, Guyevo, Zaoleshenka, Kazachya Loknya, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Loknya, Makhnovka, Novaya Sorochyna, Nikolsky, Oleshnya, Rubanshchyna and Sudzha. The battlegroup’s servicemen repelled three enemy counterattacks," the statement said.
The Ukrainian losses in Russia’s Kursk Region amounted to more than 190 servicemen over the past 24 hours, the ministry added.
"Over the day, Ukraine lost over 190 servicemen, three tanks, six infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers, 15 armored fighting vehicles, 17 vehicles, an artillery gun, three mortars, two electronic warfare stations, as well as three drone control posts and an ammunition depot," the statement said.
In total, during the hostilities in the Kursk area, Kiev lost more than 62,650 troops, 376 tanks, 286 infantry fighting vehicles, 237 armored personnel carriers, 1,977 armored combat vehicles, 2,129 vehicles, 465 artillery systems, 51 multiple rocket launchers, including 13 HIMARS and six US-made MLRS, 22 anti-aircraft missile systems, nine transport and load vehicles, 113 electronic warfare stations, 15 counter-battery radars, seven air defense radars, 49 units of engineering and other equipment, including 19 demolition vehicles, one UR-77 mine-clearing unit, as well as 14 armored maintenance and recovery vehicles, and a command vehicle.
