TEL AVIV, November 27. /TASS/. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) and Israel’s artillery struck dozens of military facilities belonging to the Palestinian radical movement Hamas near Jabaliya and Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported.
Among other targets, weapons storage facilities, military structures, and "significant terrorist infrastructure sites" were struck, using intelligence "collected from the interrogations of terrorists who were apprehended in the area," the IDF specified.
Additionally, the IAF struck and eliminated Morad Rajoub in Gaza City, who was involved in a bombing attack in the city of Be’er Sheva in May 2002, the Israeli military added.
The situation in the Middle East escalated dramatically when, on October 7, 2023, armed Hamas supporters from the Gaza Strip breached Israeli territory, killing residents of border settlements and seizing more some 250 hostages. In response, Israel declared a complete blockade of Gaza and carried out strikes against it and parts of Lebanon and Syria before launching a ground operation in the Palestinian enclave. According to the latest Israeli data, 101 people remain in Hamas captivity in Gaza.
