According to the statement, the delivery marks the culmination of joint efforts led by the Defense Ministry's US Procurement Mission, the ministry’s Department of Production and Procurement and the IDF’s planning, technology and logistics divisions

TEL AVIV, December 6. /TASS/. The 200th cargo plane carrying military equipment has arrived in Israel, the country’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"The 200th cargo plane carrying military equipment for the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] has arrived in Israel. Over 10,000 tons of military equipment were delivered since the beginning of the war, including armored vehicles, armaments, personal protective equipment, medical supplies, ammunition, and more," the statement reads.

According to the statement, the delivery marks the culmination of joint efforts led by the Defense Ministry's US Procurement Mission, the ministry’s Department of Production and Procurement and the IDF’s planning, technology and logistics divisions.

The Israeli Defense Ministry announced on October 19 that it had received a cargo plane from the US carrying the initial shipment of armored vehicles for the IDF, which would replace those damaged during military activities.

Tensions in the Middle East flared up again on October 7 after militants from the radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, killing residents of border communities and taking over 200 people, including women, children and the elderly, hostage. Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. Israel announced a total blockade of Gaza and started carrying out strikes on targets in the Strip, as well as on certain areas in Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
