WARSAW, February 17. /TASS/. Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine was touched upon at a meeting of prime ministers of the Visegrad Group member states (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic) in Krakow, Slovakia’s Prime Minister Igor Matowic said at a joint news conference after the summit on Wednesday.
"The Russian vaccine was brought up at the talks. The protection of health and life cannot be mixed with politics. The virus does not choose the East or the West due to political preferences. The virus makes politicians do their best to protect lives regardless of where the vaccine comes from," he said.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasized the significance of "obtaining the vaccine from wherever at the soonest possible time" amid the current situation.
