MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Ratifying the agreement on state border between Russia and South Ossetia will allow to start demarcation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said on Friday.
"Since 2010, the delimitation of 74km of the state border has been completed," Karasin said. "Administrative and territorial border between Russian SFSR and Georgian SSR existing at the moment of Soviet Union’s dissolution was taken as a basis," he added.
"The agreement is fully in line with Russian interests. Its ratification will allow to complete international legal establishment of the border with South Ossetia and start demarcation," the deputy foreign minister explained.
