MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Russia is expanding its global media presence, which is not an easy thing to do, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"We are expanding our media presence. This is not easy for the reasons I mentioned: all sorts of obstacles are being put in our way. And on top of that, historically, the global media landscape has been dominated by Western media outlets. Russia entered this arena much later," he said at a meeting with editors-in-chief of African media. "But I believe that we are performing quite well, and overall, in a number of Western countries, the audience interested in our content, in the information our outlets deliver to listeners and viewers, is in many cases comparable to, and in some cases even exceeds, that of traditional Western media outlets."
