Russian military to take note of Blinken’s remarks on Ukrainian counteroffensive — Kremlin

It was reported earlier that the US Secretary of State said Ukraine could start a counteroffensive in the next few weeks

MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The Russian military, when they plan the progress of the special military operation, will take into account US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s remarks about a possible counteroffensive of Ukrainian forces, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"It’s more like a statement that’s a subject for an examination by our military," he said, when asked if Blinken’s remarks caused concern in Moscow. "They [the Russian military] thoroughly track down all relevant information and take it into account when planning the progress of the special military operation."

In an interview with Funke Mediengruppe that was published on Friday, Blinken said Ukraine could start a counteroffensive in the next few weeks.

The New York Times reported earlier, citing officials at US President Joe Biden’s administration, that the Pentagon started investigating a leak of classified data relating to the plans of the US and NATO to train Ukrainian forces for an offensive against Russian troops. A large number of documents that reveal data about the schedules of weapons supplies and troops numbers were leaked to social networks such as Twitter and Telegram. The documents contain a timeline for training, the supplies of equipment and ammunition for a spring counteroffensive of nine Ukrainian brigades that are being trained and equipped by the US and its allies. According to the documents, six of them were supposed to be ready by March 31, and the other three by April 30. There were no data about the three brigades that are being prepared by Ukraine.
