Putin to attend EAEU summit in December — Kremlin

The EAEU consists of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing to take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council to be held in Bishkek on December 9. The format of his participation will be announced later, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.

"Indeed, [Russian President Vladimir Putin's] participation in the summit is being prepared now. After the preparations are completed, we will make an announcement," he said in reply to a question about whether Putin planned to attend the meeting and whether he would speak in person or via videoconference.

The EAEU consists of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The supreme supranational body of the association is the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, and the permanent supranational regulatory body is the Eurasian Economic Commission. The presidents of the EAEU member states take part in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meetings.
