Several people hurt in attack on Riyadh Airport — authorities

Damage is being assessed and a security check continues

DOHA, October 11. /TASS/. Several people were hurt in a new attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said.

"The Saudi’s General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that today, on October 11, <…> King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh came under another attack," it said on X. According to the GACA, several people were wounded. Damage is being assessed and a security check continues, it added.

Spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition Turki al-Maliki said earlier that an unidentified projectile hit Riyadh International Airport passenger terminal, causing a fire. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saria, in turn, said that the Houthi rebels had struck the airports in Riyadh and Dammam, as well as Saudi Aramco facilities.
