ST. PETERSBURG, November 21. /TASS/. Russia is ready to assist Serbia in building an oil pipeline via Hungary to the Druzhba oil pipeline, Vice President of the Russian oil pipeline operator Vladimir Kalanda told reporters.
"Transnafta Pancevo plans to diversify oil supplies to its country. They have one pipeline for the time being that is coming from the territory of Croatia. They suggest building a pipeline that will pass via the territory of Hungary and reach the Druzhba [oil pipeline] directly," Kalanda said.
"This will make it possible for them to be more independent in oil supplies and significantly increase volumes of oil delivered to the territory of Serbia for internal consumption. In my opinion, the pipeline length will be about 300 kilometers. Serbia asked us for help. We are ready to assist in implementing this project," the senior executive said.
