KALININGRAD, October 2. /TASS/. Crews of Su-30SM2 multirole fighters and Su-24M tactical frontline bombers of the Russian Navy’s Baltic Fleet’s aviation conducted an exercise near Kaliningrad, during which they destroyed underground command posts of a simulated enemy, the Baltic Fleet’s press service reported.
"Crews of the Su-30SM2 multirole fighters and Su-24M tactical frontline bombers of the Baltic Fleet’s naval aviation delivered high-precision bombing and bombing and striking attacks against ground targets," the statement said.
The pilots surveyed the area, performed flights to the designated sector, and conducted precision bombing runs on full-scale targets using OFAB-250ShN high-explosive fragmentation bombs. The aircraft crews also practiced combat maneuvers and evasion tactics against the simulated enemy’s fighter aircraft and air defense systems.
In total, the military conducted about 50 combat training sorties. More than 15 aircraft and over 100 service members from the Baltic Fleet’s mixed naval aviation regiment participated in the training.
