MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Russian servicemen liberated the settlement of Berestki in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"Units of Russia’s Center battlegroup continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlement of Berestki in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry reported.
Russia hit a temporary deployment site of units of a brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower, the Ministry of Defense reported earlier
"The Russian Ministry of Defense published the footage of the destruction of a temporary deployment point of units of the brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by a platoon of the TOS-1A Solntsepyok in the area of the settlement Razliv in the Volnovakha district. As a result of the strike, up to 45 militants were destroyed," the ministry said.
South battlegroup
Units of Russia’s South battlegroup improved their tactical position, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 325 servicemen in one day during the actions of the Russian group, the Ministry reported.
"The units of Russia’s South battlegroup of forces improved their tactical position, defeated the formations of two mechanized, airmobile and airborne assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Ulakly, Kurakhovo, Nikolaevka, and Dachnoye of the Donetsk People's Republic. Two counter-attacks of the enemy assault units were repulsed. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to 325 servicemen," the ministry said.
Dnepr and North battlegroups
Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost about 120 servicemen in one day as a result of the actions of Russia’s Dnepr and North battlegroups, the Ministry added.
"Units of Russia’s North battlegroup inflicted losses on formations of the territorial defense brigade and the border detachment of the Ukrainian border service in the areas of the settlements of Tikhoe, Volchansk, and Liptsy in the Kharkov region in the Kharkov direction. Two counter-attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assault groups were repulsed. The enemy lost up to 60 servicemen, one armored personnel carrier, two cars and three D-30 howitzers," the Defense Ministry reported.
West battlegroup
Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 490 servicemen in one day as a result of the actions of Russia’s West battlegroup, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"The units of the Western group of forces occupied more advantageous positions, defeated the personnel and equipment of two mechanized airborne brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and three territorial defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Grigorovka, Zagryzovo, Kupyansk in the Kharkov region, Novoegorovka in the Lugansk People's Republic and Torskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry said.
Center battlegroup
The Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 525 servicemen in the zone of responsibility of Russia’s Center battlegroup in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"The manpower and equipment of two brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces - mechanized, motorized infantry - and a marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Petrovka, and Novoalekseevka of the Donetsk People's Republic. Ten counterattacks by armed formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled. The enemy lost up to 525 servicemen, 5 combat armored vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 3 cars, 3 152-mm D-20 guns and 2 122-mm D-30 howitzers," the ministry reported.
The ministry also noted that Russian troops have damaged energy facilities supporting the operation of Ukraine's military-industrial complex, as well as concentrations of manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 142 districts.
"Operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' troop groups have damaged energy facilities supporting the operation of Ukraine's military-industrial complex, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 142 districts," the ministry said.
At the same time, air defense forces shot down 26 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the past 24 hours, the Ministry reported. "Air defense assets shot down 26 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
According to the Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special military operation a total of 649 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 37,380 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,698 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,497 multiple launch rocket systems combat vehicles, 19,145 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 29,080 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
