MOSCOW, June 21. /TASS/. Russia intends to keep reinforcing its Armed Forces with consideration of potential threats and risks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the meeting with military college graduates Tuesday.
"We will keep developing and reinforcing our Armed Force with consideration of potential military threats and risks, based on the lessons of modern armed conflicts, we will improve their composition," the head of state noted.
Putin mentioned equipment of the Armed Forces with new weapon systems, which will define the combat readiness of the Army and the Navy for the upcoming years and decades, as a priority direction of development of the Armed Forces.
"We will need to utilize robotics, newest means of command and reconnaissance, drones wider, much wider; [we will need to] actively develop weapons based on new physical principles. I am talking about laser, electromagnetic and other types of weapons. And, of course, intense combat training, practicing cooperation with our allies will continue," the President added.
