Russian air defense forces shot down 8 UAVs of Ukrainian Armed Forces over day

The Russian Aerospace Forces have also destroyed the Buk-M1 air defense system

MOSCOW, June 12. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov announced on Sunday.

"Eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down," he said.

The Russian Aerospace Forces have also destroyed the Buk-M1 air defense system, an airspace control radar, S-300 radar, and two MLRS batteries of Ukrainian troops over the day with high-precision missiles.

According to Konashenkov, over the past day, high-precision air-based missiles hit two command posts and 15 areas of concentration of forces and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian Tochka-U missiles and three shells of the Uragan system over the settlements in Donbass, Kharkov, and Kherson regions over the day, Konashenkov added.
