Majority of Thai citizens vote for changing constitution — referendum results

Elections Commission cited the results after counting 97% of ballots

BANGKOK, February 8. /TASS/. Thai citizens have supported the proposal to work out a new constitution to replace the one of 2017, according to the referendum results cited by the Elections Commission after counting 97% of ballots.

As many as 60% of those taking part in the referendum voted for changing the constitution, while 13% voted against and 9% abstained.
