DONETSK, October 10. /TASS/. Identifying property owners in cities of the Donetsk People’s Republic under Ukrainian control will help verify ownership rights in advance in case homes are damaged or destroyed during hostilities, DPR head Denis Pushilin told TASS.
On October 7, the DPR Defense Headquarters called on residents of cities under Ukrainian control to evacuate to Donetsk, pledging to help them find housing. It recommended that they seek "any way to relocate," explaining that "things will only get worse from here." Participants in the special resettlement program will receive priority access to compensation apartments or housing restoration. "At the initial stage, people will be accommodated in temporary accommodation centers within the republic. They will be able to stay there until their housing situation is resolved," Pushilin said.
"We understand that property may be damaged or destroyed during hostilities. That is why we are beginning to identify property owners and verify their ownership rights in advance," Pushilin said.
