WASHINGTON, June 24 /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said that Washington's European allies in NATO had let the United States down during the conflict with Iran.

"We were let down. We didn't need help on this at all," Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House.

"But it would have been nice if they would have said 'we'd like to help,'" he added.

"They didn't say it," Trump recalled.
