YEREVAN, May 26. /TASS/. Armenia and the United States have signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation on The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), according to a live broadcast on Armenian TV channels.
The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the latter’s visit to Yerevan.
"The framework agreement for strategic cooperation on The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity is being signed," said an announcement made at the signing ceremony.
After the ceremony, the top Armenian diplomat reiterated the importance of the Washington summit of August 2025, where peace had been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan and an agreement had been reached on unblocking regional communications.
On August 8, 2025, following a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration on the establishment of peace between Baku and Yerevan and on improving connectivity between the main part of Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Armenia. The project was named the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.
